The Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier is manufactured by KAZ. It is primarily intended to help in relieving cold and flu symptoms. It also acts well as a general room humidifier – particularly useful in the winter and generally in areas of the country where it can get cold. The humidifier boils water that is in a tank that is filled with enough water to last for a complete 24 hours of operation. The boiled water is allowed to mix with the dry air that is fed into the cooling chamber and this mixture (vapor) is released as a warm, moist stream of air into the room. Warm mist humidifiers are always louder than their cool mist counterparts but this model is particularly quiet, giving off no more than a slight fizzing sound at its low setting. The auto shut-oof appears to work perfectly. The unit itself is safe to touch and doesn’t feel hot even though it is heating water to boiling point internally.
